        Tips

A calendar that makes people want to adopt

        • One photo per animal, taken at their eye level, in natural light and against a simple background.
        • A short introduction: name, age, personality, and what they are looking for in a home.
        • Happy endings too: a “then and now” with their new family encourages adoption and reassures donors.
        • Clear contact details on the last page: website, phone, visiting days, and a call for donations and foster homes.
        • Photo rights: use your own photos, or those of volunteers who have agreed.

        FAQ

        Questions from rescues

Is the calendar really free for a rescue?

Yes: no account, no subscription and nothing in return. You can sell the printed calendars to raise funds for your rescue, and every penny is yours.

Are photos of our animals sent to MyArk?

No. The calendar is drawn in your browser from the photos on your computer: nothing is uploaded or stored by MyArk.

Is the file suitable for a printer?

Yes: tick “Print quality” to get a 300 dpi A4 PDF, one page per month, with a cover and a last page for your contact details. Ask your printer whether they need bleed: the file has none.

Does the MyArk logo appear on the calendar?

Only a small “Made with myark.pet” line at the bottom of the pages. Your rescue’s name, logo and contact details take the cover and the last page.
