Nutrition formulas follow international veterinary guidelines (WSAVA, FEDIAF); the age charts are based on life-stage guidelines (AAFP, AAHA); cost ranges are MyArk editorial benchmarks for the UK in 2026, built from figures published by animal charities (PDSA, Cats Protection, Scottish SPCA, British Horse Society), vet price surveys and insurers, and reviewed regularly. Each calculator details its method and sources — and none of them replaces your vet’s advice.
